Ever wondered how we taste and test coffee at the roastery? It’s called a cupping session — and it’s basically a deep dive into flavour, aroma, and everything that makes good coffee great.
At Beam, we cup every week to make sure our roasts are dialled in and tasting just right. We are firing up on Friday mornings for cupping sessions open to the public.
What is a cupping session?
Cupping is how coffee pros (and nerds like us) taste and score coffee. You’ll slurp, smell, and compare different coffees side by side — from fruity naturals to clean, crisp washed lots. It’s informal, sensory, and actually a lot of fun.
